Great turnout for Open House

It was an amazing turnout today for open house. After a very slow start (probably because it was at 7:00 am), things really picked up and the school was filled with excited children, parents, and teachers. It was great seeing our new kindergarten students getting their yellow Kindergarten shirt. It was also neat seeing so many faces that I have been missing for the past two months. What was really neat was our new Pre-Kindergarten students coming into a school for the first time to meet their teachers. The students were very excited and the parents were a little nervous! What a great way to start a new year.

Just a little update to our numbers:
2 Pre-K classes
6 Kindergarten classes
5 First Grade Classes
4 Second Grade Classes
5 Third Grade Classes
5 Fourth Grade Classes
4 Fifth Grade Classes
4 Special Needs Classes

All totaling 694 students on roll.

Please don't forget that the first day of school is Monday, August 2nd. We will be having parent meetings on Tuesday, August 3rd at 9:00am and 6:00pm and again on Wednesday, August 4th in Spanish at the same time. This is a great opportunity for parents to learn what is going on at KES and how they can help. Look forward to seeing you there!
